Hi all, i wanted to get the best carrier I could, so I purchased 3 different ones based on reviews. I purchased the name brand known for this specific style, lollimeow, and 2 unbraded ones from different sellers. One specific unbranded (the cat eyes one) i purchased it because it was supposed to be wider by 2". Lollimeow, despite the fact that the lollimeow first arrived with a dent on the plastic, customer service was great and sent me a new carrier. As seen in the photos, lollimeow was the widest of them all. The material is fabric, like the fabric used for like a backpacks. It is well made, and sturdy. I have two kittens, 10 weeks old, and they both fit well. It is sooo roomie, and I know size won't be an issue when my kitties grow older.. i love the feature of expanding it. And i love that lollimeow provides a mini fan for hot days. The "cat ear" one did not have feature. Now let's talk about this one... Ashleyriver (cat ears): the only reason why I purchased this bag it was because it claims to be 14+" wide vs. 12+" of the other two. To me, extra 2" is a big difference for a cat. False advertisement!!. it is NOT what it claims!!. It is very close widthwise to the other two. It is smaller as well, so uf you prefer a smaller carrier. This one is the smallest one!. The fabric is the same as the lollimeow. Jerrycat: I actually liked this one the most when it comes to the built. It just felt sturdier than all of them. The material used was different too, it was like a hard version of an umbrella fabric. It is definitely smaller than the lollimeow. I do like the expansion zipper design on this one better than the lollymeow, i personally prefer a small opening. If it wasn't because lollimeow had such a great customer service, I probably would have kept the jerrycat one. Overall, I am please with the construction of them all. It is a matter of interior space. The largest being the original lollimeow, all the way down to the cat ear one.

My cat lives 100% indoors. We bought this so he could go on walks with us and our dog. Its great for curious and calm cats. The bottom is very sturdy for the cat to sit. There are also many vent holes for breathing. The backpack straps are padded for your comfort - there is also a chest strap to keep the pack steady. The pack is a bit larger, so its great for most cats. Unfortunately, its just a tad snug for my longer cat (small puma basically). It also expands for your cat to get some outdoor time, which is neat!

My dog fits nicely and the expandable back can be extremely convenient for long travel. Could use a few more pockets to put belongings though.

This is an awesome backpack. Cat hates it after a few minutes right now. Hoping she will get used to it because it is a neat product. Very good material.

Bought this after hearing a friend gush about how much their cat loves it. I needed a carrier she could feel comfortable and safe in, especially when we go out on adventures, and this one has done the trick beautifully! It's easy to get her into the carrier, especially with the multiple entry points. (Every other style of carrier I tried was really difficult to get her into.) It's also been really easy to gradually introduce her to each new feature (fully open, fully closed, closed with mesh part down, etc.). I love that she can see so well from inside and that she gets good airflow. It's comfortable for me and she fits well inside. She's 12lbs and, while I wouldn't describe it as spacious when it's fully closed, the backpack is still big enough that she can turn around whichever way she wants and get comfy even while I'm wearing it. But with the mesh part open, it's downright palatial! My only complaint is that the chest strap with the buckle isn't fully attached. One side of the buckle/strap is securely sewn on, but the other is an adjustable situation that will just slide right off. I'm going to sew the other side down and it'll be fine, but just keep this in mind if the chest strap is a big selling point for you. 5 stars! I love it, my sweet cat loves it, and we both highly recommend it for you and your cats, too. :)

I��ve had this backpack for a year now but never used it on a plane. I was scouring the reviews and the internet to see if this backpack would fit under the seat on Spirit airlines (known for having such small cabin space). I had NO problem fitting her under the seat in front of me!! I have the back extender version and it still fit when zipped up. Everyone who saw her loved seeing her through the window. Get this backpack!

Our cat has terrible separation anxiety and sometimes holding her when we're around the house can cause our arms to wear out. We also wanted a durable backpack that had a wide view so when we took her outside, she wouldn't be as scared as being on a leash, but would have a wide view of her surroundings. Also, being able to carry her like a backpack in pet-friendly stores would be so much less of a hassle than carrying a carrier/bag around. Our cat is 3 years old and weighs roughly 8 pounds, she has more than enough room to turn around, sit, lay down with room to spare. She absolutely loves this backpack, and even sneaked back in it, when we let her out. From the pictures the company shows, it seems tight, but in person its much wider. The straps are also generously adjustable, a full-grown adult can put this backpack on with ease. What the product doesn't tell you, but is a really nice feature, is if you plan on putting the backpack down or whatnot and the cat or even children become curious of the zippers, there's actually a hole inbetween the zipper handles where you can put a lock to keep it together. The only cons I would have of this product is the extension to allow the cat to walk through, the zipper is actually where the cat is instead of on the side of the extension. I'd probably recommend opening the barrier a little so you can open it without having to stick your hand inside with the cat. My other complaint is the packaging, it comes in a huge box with just brown paper, nothing to protect it from damaging through transportation. I'd probably recommend the seller to use bubble wrap or those airtight bubbles. Thankfully, mine didn't damage on it's way home. My last complaint is the floor pad, it just doesn't seem like it's meant for this product. It moves around too much, and I'd probably use velcro straps so that it stays in place. I haven't tried the leash attachment thats on the bottom yet, but it stretches almost to the top of the backpack so shouldn't need to worry about it tugging on your pet's neck and limiting their mobility.

I introduced my new cat to this backpack. I lured him in with the metal clip, and he got in. I set it up to the "tent" mode, and he didn't seem too concerned. He tried to escape but didn't seem distressed. He seemed fine with being worn inside the "astronaut" mode. This morning, I found him relaxing in the tent on his own. Seems like he likes the soft fabric included with the backpack at least as much as my carpet. Results may vary depending on your pet, but this is a versatile item that lets your pet rest comfortably or transport over the short term (remains to be tested).

My Kitty loves it! She閳ユ獨 safe inside with the collar clip inside and she loves sticking her head out of the side pocket which is also good for reaching in and giving her a little rub. I personally love the convenience because we used to just hold her in the stores and she hated that. Overall wonderful product and good quality!

Great travel backpack for your pet! My cat hates it but I love it, I think it閳ユ獨 super cute that I can take him with me and he can see the surroundings. I also really like the expandable back, that way if we rest in a park I can unzip it and he can閳ユ獩 have some more room to rest without him getting away. Best purchase!

Backpack is very sturdy, breathable and easy to carry, both in hand and on back. The extendable mesh portion is easily my favorite feature. I even took my bearded dragon to the store with me in it amd everyone there loved it. 100% recommend for anyone with a smaller, non-avain pet they'd like to take outside.

Best product I閳ユ獫e ever bought hands down. My cat loves it and when we aren閳ユ獩 taking trips he enjoys lounging in it. Great quality and well ventilated, he loves the smells and sights of the outside world which he rarely gets to experience as an indoor cat. Also very comfortable to wear either on the back or front. I would absolutely purchase again and I definitely recommend this to anyone with a feline companion.

I bought it for my sister, whose cat has a neurological disorder. The hard plastic face let's the cat know what is happening and there are several openings for pets. The expanding area is just enough for her to lay down and get comfortable but only takes up one seat.

It is a good item for sure, unfortunately neither cat likes it! Also I just feel kind of a tight fit! Not sure how a cat could be in there very long because just not a lot of space, better for a ferret if you ask me! But again nothing against the item just saving someone who thinks big enough for a normal sized cat.

Good Stuff

Our cat loves to come along with us and our dog for longer walks in the park and neighborhood. We don't have to worry that she will wiggle out from harness when spooked by noise or other dogs. She always wanted to come with us and now she can.

This is the perfect size for a cat up to 12 lbs (any bigger and they might be sqooshed). The front portion of the carrier isn閳ユ獩 too tall so keep that in mind when ordering. I like that the back unzips to create a little cave that can be opened up in the car - giving him/her more room to stretch out. This is a lot easier to carry than a standard plastic carrier and makes vet trips hassle free.

I had seen individuals with cat/dog backpacks in recent months and thought it was a crazy idea. Well our daughter purchased this backpack for our 10 lb tuxedo so she could take him on walks when walking our dog. This cat pukes when in his carrier in the car so figured he'd be puking in the backpack during the walk. Well turns out he not only doesn't puke in the backpack but getting him into the backpack is a 100 times easier than fighting with him to go into his hard carrier. He hasn't gotten to the point where he goes in through the side door on his own but figure it's just a matter of time after he's used it for a few more times. Can't read his mind but sure seems like he actually enjoys getting outside in this thing seeing what the dog is up to as well.Overall seems sturdily made, materials and zippers are good, and the clear shell has minimal distortion. We haven't had a chance to test out the expansion play area yet. Will do that one of these days when weather's good and we are able to take him to the park and just hang outside.Summary is that this product has got me converted into a pet backpack believer. While folks on the street look at us a little strangely it's probably exactly how I looked before trying this cool pet accessory firsthand. Super glad our daughter purchased this item.

I absolutely love it. It is just what I expected. My cat is a bit anxious abt it but she soon will like it.

This is perfect for my smaller cat (about 10 lbs) however my bigger cat (about 15 lbs) doesn閳ユ獩 have as much room. The fabric is easy to clean and is pretty durable!

Our kitten (now 6 months) loves this thing. Sometimes we'll find her inside of it completely on her own. She loves going on walks, but it does require a learning on how to walk without bouncing too much.We have another for our larger cat, and while he loves it too, he's a bit too big for this size. It works, but he struggles getting inside.

I can see that coming in handy for a trip to give him some extra room without letting him out of the backpack. It feels sturdy and very well made. I really recommend it!

My.cat.LOVES.it!!!! I would say my cat is average in size and she fits well in this backpack. She loves the outdoors so the expandable part is a really nice feature to have. She constantly sits in it unzipped and always waits for us to take her out on a walk. When we get home, she refuses to leave and will continue to sit in it. I love the features - clip for harness, great visibility, expandable, top handle, and adjustable straps. This is a GREAT pet backpack!

my cat pissed in it from stress but it was easy to clean with vinegar and bleach. My cat wont go in it anymore but it doesnt smell bad atleast. I just use it for my little dog now.

This was exactly what I needed and wanted. My two main concerns when shopping for a cat carrier were that it fit well under the seat in a plane and was easy to carry. This took care of both. Being able to convert it from a play enclosure to a backpack is awesome! My cat was as comfortable as she can be traveling in an airport. I used the play enclosure feature while we were waiting at the gate and she loved being able to people watch through it. Once it was time to board, we zipped it up and voila, it閳ユ獨 a carrier that fits under the seat! Happy with my purchase.

I was alil bit nervous that my cat would even like it. hes 4yrs 18 lbs and pervious pet carriers were a bit too small for him even in a large.he's a lil heavy but suits him perfectly, apparently he's so comfortable and secure inside that introducing my dog to him was made alot simpler.. ( I have a rescue boxers pit 3 yrs, so its been a bit frustrating even in a good environment) but I'm happy my cat yoshi feels comfortable enough to pop his head out the side pocket.he gets to see everything around him. It"s the second one I got, I love it and my kitty who stress a lot in her cage, looks very happy in her backpack. i tried a different one by mistake, another brand (because I forgot the brand of the tisrst one I bought) and the fabric smelled so I returned and finally get the brand i got the first time, no fabric odor (my cat suffers asthama )awesome, georgeous

It's sturdy and roomy. My cat likes to get in even when we're home. I was concerned on hot days if my cat would get hot but there's plenty of air way to help! The window does get scratched up but not in an ugly way. Just be gentle and mindful where you open and place the backpack to help prevent scratching.

I didn閳ユ獩 know how my kitty was going to react to being in a backpack but he loves it. It has quite a bit of room for him. He didn閳ユ獩 want to get out of it when I was just seeing how he liked it. I sure can say he loves it.

Our cat loved this after visiting it a few times. It閳ユ獨 great if you have time to acclimate them to it. Open it up in your home and let your kitty check it out, even curl up and make a home in it. I閳ユ獡 not sure how good it would be to transport on a long haul though.Better to have a backup if driving in a car and be safe.

I use this to transport my 12lb cat when she needs to travel from our home. I can take her with me to appointments as needed because the back zips open to allow extra room for her to lounge.

Needs more insulation. My cat was getting a bit heated the last time I used it but I think this can easily be solved by placing a cold ice pack or frozen water bottle. Still a nice product! Might use it more often since it's getting more chilly.

This is very handy, a backpack that you can put your kitty in! Of course it would work for any other small animal. They aren't stuck in a crate, instead they can look around and not be as scared. The back expands so they can have extra room if you can't let them out yet. I really love it!

He is a bigger cat, so if you cat is on the bigger side this one is perfect.My only complaint while not the worst thing is that the protective film on the front got stuck in the breathing holes. I love everything and would highly recommend a purchase to anyone and I very more compliments on my bag than I did on the adorable puppy I had inside lol.One thing I haven't liked over the few months of daily usage is the lack of air and ventilation. I found it helpful for my puppy to keep cool during summer in this carrier by putting in a cold water bottle or a frozen hard plastic cooling pack that can't be chewed up.For ventilation, I have to keep unzipping the bag, having him trying to get out, just to get him some air.Held up very well, he's just outgrowing it now that he's 8 pounds and growing taller and longer. I'm getting one with wheels now lol he's getting heavy.Enjoy!

That is a great bag to carry your cats. It is comfortable to use. But I really don't find useful the expanding part. Do not use it if is sunny and hot.

Gave this to my sister-in-law for her birthday. Her cat is pretty big but fit comfortably inside the backpack. Love the versatility of the backpack.

I bought this for my cat who is twenty pounds. It took a little bit of time but eventually, he fell in love with the backpack. My only concern is that it can get hot when outside, but thankfully I can leave the side door open and my cat will just lay his head out of the backpack while we go on walks. I leave the backpack on the floor in my room and my cat will climb inside through the side and go to sleep.

I love this product and my cats love it too the only complaint is that it had and has now a scratch on it like shown in the pic its right in the middle not cool

Other than living in the sweltering heat of Texas, this bag is everything I hoped it would be.
